Door County Ice Fishing

Well it has been a very crazy winter season to say the least. After a slow start to the season winter has just settled in and has taken us in its grip and not let go. With the exceptional snow depth that we have received this season it has made travel very difficult unless you are using track vehicles that can keep you on top of the snow and get you through the deep slush that is in areas. With an exception for a few days we have been able to travel with our track vehicle and continue to get out to our fishing grounds where we have been finding good fishing success most days. We have been having best success fishing water depths ranging from 40 to 70 feet of water and catching our fish right on the bottom using Rapala jigging raps and jigging shad raps along with Storm swim shads. With the weather forecast we will be on the ice for quite some time yet so there is plenty of time to take advantage of some great ice fishing opportunities.
