Fishing Door County Smallmouth Bass has been pretty good lately with decent numbers of fish being caught daily with some days being better than others. Now that the spawn is complete the Bass have been moving around more and relating to different areas away from where they just previously spawned. While there are still plenty of fish in shallow water there are many areas that are beginning to hold active fish in deeper water and we continue to find good success using a variety of soft plastics along with some fish responding to spinner baits and top water baits on some days.
The smallmouth bass fishing in Door County has been going pretty good with quality fish being caught daily with some days being better than others. Most of the bass have spawned or in some areas are in the process of spawning right now. Water temps have reached the low to mid 60 degree range and will hopefully continue to get warmer.
We have been finding success catching Smallmouth Bass using soft plastics such as tube jigs, grubs, along with some days having success with jerk baits. Most fish have been in water depth from 6 to 12 feet of water but every day has been different so each day we have had to fine tune our depths along with baits that work best for that day. There is still time to take advantage of some spring time bass fishing so take some time to get out on the water and enjoy some fishing.
