Ice Fishing Report for Door County Bay of Green Bay

We are now out on the Bay of Green Bay in our off shore whitefish areas and the fish have really been cooperating very well. We have been getting limit catches of Whitefish Daily with a few Eelpout mixed in as well.

Ice conditions here in Door County on the Bay of Green Bay have been really good with ice thickness anywhere from 15 to 18 inches of ice. Ice traveling has been pretty good with most areas pretty smooth but there are areas that have some chunky ice and are a little tougher traveling.

We have been finding good fishing in water depths ranging from 50 to 70 Feet of water out on the Bay of Green Bay in Door County.Our best success has come with jigging with Rapala Jigging Raps and jigging shad Raps.

Door County Ice Report

Now that we are in the deep freeze with more cold weather expected here in Door County all waters around Door County are able to be fished by means of ice fishing. All the inland lakes here in Door County have plenty of ice and are snow covered with good ice fishing action to be had for multiple species. The Bay of Green Bay now has safe ice in most areas and the ice fishing season should have plenty of action for Whitefish,Walleyes,Northern Pike ,and Brown Trout.
