Fishing Door County Smallmouth Bass Fishing June 11th

The smallmouth bass fishing in Door County has been going pretty good with quality fish being caught daily with some days being better than others. Most of the bass have spawned or in some areas are in the process of spawning right now. Water temps have reached the low to mid 60 degree range and will hopefully continue to get warmer.

We have been finding success catching Smallmouth Bass using soft plastics such as tube jigs, grubs, along with some days having success with jerk baits. Most fish have been in water depth from 6 to 12 feet of water but every day has been different so each day we have had to fine tune our depths along with baits that work best for that day. There is still time to take advantage of some spring time bass fishing so take some time to get out on the water and enjoy some fishing.

Fishing Door County Sturgeon Bay Walleyes

The walleye fishing here in Door County sure has had its ups and downs lately with the constant changing weather fluctuating water temps and just no stability. We have been mainly concentrating on casting for the walleyes but we have had some good days trolling for the walleyes also. We have been throwing soft plastics along with some lipless crankbaits for the fish some days concentrating in shallow water other days finding the walleyes in deeper water.

The walleyes have been responding also to some trolling patterns which we have mainly been using crawler harnesses in various different colors along with different size weights to keep our baits in the water column where the fish are which changes by the day and sometimes by the time of day. With some warmer more stable weather the fishing will only get better as the season progresses.
