Well it is certainly proving to be a late arrival for spring weather here in Wisconsin with below normal temperatures along with a late season snow storm bringing upwards of 10 inches of snow. We have been finding success catching walleyes daily on the waters that we can fish that have been ice free. The Bay as of today is for the most part very ice covered and depending on the day and wind direction there has been areas that have fishable water if there is boat access in the area. We have been finding our success jigging for the walleyes using soft plastics along with lipless crankbaits. Next weeks weather looks like we will be moving into a warmer weather pattern so that should begin to soften up and begin to get rid of some ice on the bay..
