Well we are finally receiving some cooler fall type weather here in Door County which will be just what we need to get the fall fishing fired up. As we move into fall we will have fantastic fishing opportunities at fishing for many different species including walleyes, Smallmouth Bass Northern Pike along with Muskies. The Smallmouth Bass fishing should really start heating up as we move into fall with the fish already getting active in many areas already. There is still plenty of time to get out and enjoy some time on the water here in Beautiful Door County so get out and enjoy some fantastic fishing.
We are back to having summer type weather here in Door County after a large cold front moved through the mid west a week or so ago bringing cold air temps which dropped water temps quite a bit. The walleye fishing continues to be good with quality size walleyes being caught daily. We have been catching walleyes in water depths from 15 to 25 feet of water using two different approaches both trolling and casting some days trolling being better other days casting seems to get our fish for us. We will continue to see good opportunities at catching walleye here in Door County well through the month of October so take some time this upcoming fall season to get in on some great fishing opportunities.
