Well after a long ice fishing season it is time to get geared up for the 2015 open water fishing season which is just getting underway in some areas. With today’s weather being beautiful with the sun shining and light winds we enjoyed a wonderful day on the water fishing for walleyes on the Fox River in Green Bay. The fishing was a little slow today but we did manage to put 14 nice walleyes in the boat and missing several other short biting fish. We fished several different presentations today including jigs and minnows along with some hair jigs and also caught some fish on soft plastics on 1/4 oz jig heads. Things are just getting under way with the open water and with some warmer temps things will only begin to get better and better.
