Door County Ice Fishing Green Bay Jan 27th

Today proved to be another great day on the Bay of Green Bay ice fishing in Door County. We have been continuing fishing the whitefish during the day in water depth from 45 to 60 feet of water. Todays best baits were once again Rapala Jigging raps in size #3 and #2 when the current was blowing harder we used the heavier #3 and when the current would let up we had success using the smaller #2 jigging raps.

Today brought us to fishing a new location for both whitefish and walleyes. When we arrived to our location we began fishing whitefish in water depths of 60 feet and found the fish to be pretty active with nice size fish being caught. We once again found our best success using Rapala jigging Raps in the color of black and gold fishing them close to the bottom. As the day was coming to an end we moved shallower to fish for walleyes and it was not long before we had our first fish on the ice. As usual we do not get a lot of bites with the walleyes here in Door County so every bite counts. We did have a few walleyes come in to take a look at our baits but we only iced one fish tonight and that is all right the fish are present and we will continue to put our time in on them and we will catch our fish.
